Pure, Therapeutic Cedarwood Himalayan Hydrosol (Distillate Water)

Hydrosols are also referred to as Distillate Waters or Floral Waters, and are the by-product of distillation in the manufacture of essential oils.  Valuable plant compounds left behind in the distillation process are available in the distillate waters. TIMELESS 100% pure Distillate Waters are hand poured for quality assurance, and now are packed with Nitrogen and Argon to promote freshness.  Once opened, we recommend refrigeration for all Hydrosols.

For other applications, Cedarwood blends well with Bay, Bergamot, Cardamom, Chamomile, Clary Sage, Cypress, Fir, Frankincense, Geranium, Grapefruit, Juniper, Lavender, Marjoram, Orange, Neroli, Palmarosa, Petitgrain, Pine, Rosemary, Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang

Uses

Can simply be used as a refreshing body spray. Often used in hair applications, as a treatment for thinning hair, some types of hair loss, dandruff and itchy scalp. Will add luster to damaged, dry or treated hair, and can be used as a de-tangler. Add up to 50% cedarwood hydrosol to shampoo or up to 30% to conditioner. Many skin conditions respond well to cedarwood hydrosol, including dermatitis, allergic rashes, some types of psoriasis, cold sores, inflamed acne, chicken pox, weeping and cracked skin, and peeling feet. Use compresses of cedarwood distillate at full strength or 50 - 75% dilution with spring water. If skin is very itchy, yarrow distillate may be added.

Add either cedarwood hydrosol or cedarwood essential oil to bath water or children's swimming pool. Used in a sauna or bath, cedarwood hydrosol or essential oil helps to clear the respiratory passages. Makes a refreshing foot soak for tired feet.

Cats and dogs benefit from the use of Cedarwood hydrosol to reduce dander or as a flea repellent, and helps them smell fresh. Most dogs seem to find the smell of Cedar appealing. Use as a final rinse after bath. For a daily flea spray, add a few drops of Cedarwood essential oil to an 8 oz spray bottle of water, and shake well before using. Avoid spraying in the eyes.

Safety

Not recommended for internal use, except under the supervision of a qualified professional to achieve specific outcomes. Cedarwood hydrosol can be extremely diuretic. Use with caution if you have low blood pressure. May irritate highly sensitive skin.
