Aloe Vera Juice, Organic


Organically grown Aloe Vera Juice naturally supports healthy skin regeneration after burns or sun damage. 

Organically grown in the USA, this premium Aloe is mature when harvested and hand picked to assure quality.  Filleted and minimally processed to maintain 100% of the natural polysaccharides.

Botanical name :  Aloe barbadensis Miller,   also known as Aloe Vera, or "True Aloe"

Plant description :  Botanical family :  Asphodelaceae    Aloe Vera grows wild in tropical, semi-tropical, and arid climates around the globe.  It is also cultivated for both medicine and food. The aloe vera plant is a stemless succulent perennial with thick, fleshy green or grey-green leaves with serrated margins.  It typically grows 2 to 3 feet in height.  Aloe leaves are filled with clear liquid and soft pulp, which are extracted by fillet and cold pressed.

Growing Practices :  Organically farmed. Plants are tested after harvest for purity.  
Characteristics :   Clear, thin liquid.  Readily absorbs into the skin.
Properties :   Anti-ulcer agent, anti-viral, immune stimulant, moisturizing, regenerative, wound-healing
Uses :  A deep-absorbing skin moisturizer, pure aloe vera juice is an excellent choice as a base for DIY aromatherapy skin care and first aid products.  Used topically, it promotes healing for mildly burned, dry or damaged skin.  Aloe Vera is our first choice for mild sunburn or over-exposure to the sun.  (For severe burns, consult a qualified health care professional.)  May be used topically and internally to help reduce severity and promote healing of Herpes simplex (oral or genital) lesions. 
Safety :  Nontoxic, Hypoallergenic, Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS)

Storage :   Refrigerate and use within 6 months after opening.
History / Fun Facts :   Of the known medicinal Aloes, Aloe barbadensis Miller has the most medicinal applications.  It is also known as Aloe Vera, "vera" meaning "true" in Latin, thus "True Aloe".
